Appointment of Judith Pielemeier as Director of Development

Saint Nicholas Cathedral recently created a position of Director of Development and appointed Judith Ann Pielemeier as its Director. She is responsible for all aspects of development including the upcoming capital campaign “Fulfilling the Vision” to fund an Education and Administrative Center to support the functions that are currently conducted in the annex to the Cathedral. Judith has been in development and administration for many years, mostly working on university campuses. 

Judith lives in Annapolis with her husband. Her office is on the second floor of the annex. She enjoys meeting members of our parish family and our friends and supporters. She asks that people feel free to stop by the office at any time. The “Fulfilling the Vision” campaign has just completed its initial planning stage.  Staff and volunteers have begun actively talking to small groups of people about the project and its benefits to the cathedral. This project has been on the books for twenty years so it is very exciting to be able to put it into action.

The campaign is very personalized. People are approached in person to consider their participation. As such, the campaign depends on volunteers at every level, so everyone is welcomed to become involved. There are many roles for volunteers to assist with so if you are interested, contact Judith and she will find the right place for your help.

Judith is also developing a planned giving program for the cathedral. Members of the parish family who are interested in arranging for a gift in their will, giving the cathedral tangible property, life insurance policy, or are interested in creating one of many types of gift annuities or charitable trusts are encouraged to discuss this with Judith.
